We are from a strong British and South African Background, our Grandfather FO Harry East was born in Warrington, up north. He joined the War effort and flew Lancaster Bombers, amongst others. He was shot down over enemy territory and escaped back to England. He flew a confirmed 67 “sorties” over enemy territory, the third highest successful missions in History. For his Bravery and Gallantry he was awarded the DFC (Distinguished Flying Cross) by King George, who hand wrote him a letter of thanks for his service to his Country. He bore one son, David, who grew up Hunting the African bush, and had an absolute passion for Nature and all she holds. Although David was born British, he lived an extremely full life in Africa, enjoying her to her fullest. His love for the bush lives on.

David,  in turn, had 4 sons, Lance, Garth, Michael and Scott.

Garth, his second, became an avid hunter and has hunted most of Africa’s sustainable species. Currently living in Southern Africa with his wife and two children, Garth annually fills his Family’s pantries, for the pot. He also shoots a number of firearm discipline’s, competitively. David’s’ three other Sons all work and live back in England, however they visit Africa at every opportunity.

Garth, in turn, bore one Son, Nicolas Harry, (Named after his famed Great -Grandfather) has hunted on numerous occasions with his Father, since the age of 6, and has started shooting Competitively as well, actually coming in the medals in his first-ever year of partaking!
